Jordan Lake offers a wide range of amenities, including swim beaches, boating ramps, and hiking trails located west of Cary and south of Durham in Chatham County, North Carolina.
Camping
With over 1,000 campsites, there are plenty of places to find a spot to park your RV rental. Most sites feature picnic tables, grills, showers, restrooms, trash containers, water, and electric hookups.
Trails
Enjoy numerous hiking trails from easy to moderate difficulty, the shortest route 0.5 miles to 5.4 miles long. Hikers experience waterfalls, picnic areas, bridges, hills, and ponds.
Boating
All of the recreation areas have boat-launching ramps that provide easy access to the water. There is a privately-owned company near the lake where you can rent kayaks and pontoon boats.
Fishing
One of the most popular activities on the lake is fishing. The underwater rocks and logs create an excellent environment for crappie, bass, catfish, and panfish.
Picnic Shelter
This lake features numerous picnic shelters that can be reserved. Whether you need to accommodate thirty to five hundred people, there is a shelter for any event. Close by are swimming areas, volleyball courts, charcoal grills, fireplaces, restrooms, electricity, and horse pits.
